Yerba Mate Green
Yerba Mate is native to South America and comes from a type of holly tree. It’s a popular beverage in Argentina, Paraguay, and Brazil with its strong, earthy flavor. Yerba Mate is a powerful antioxidant, which can fight free-radicals in your body that may cause cell damage. Yerba mate leaves may also provide some protection against some types of infections.
Green Rooibos
Rooibos is made from a plant grown in South Africa. Although most rooibos tea is fermented and red, we’ve used the non-fermented green type. This new type of tea is still rare, and has a fresh, grassy flavor. Green rooibos is high in antioxidant-rich polyphenols, which are great for your overall wellness and immunity. It’s also naturally caffeine-free.
Lemon Verbena
Lemon Verbena leaves provide a fresh, lemony flavor. Native to South America, this plant has been used for medicinal purposes for thousands of years. Lemon Verbena is known for being rich in phenolic compounds, which may reduce oxidative stress and provide an immunity boost.
Ginger
Ginger has been used in cooking, tea, and in medicines for a very long time. Many of ginger’s benefits come from the compound gingerol, which is a powerful antioxidant. Ginger has been the star of some interesting new studies which suggest ginger could enhance your immune response.
Eleuthero Root (Siberian Ginseng)
Who doesn’t love a little ginseng in their tea? The root of this plan has a variety of health benefits, one of which is the potential to help maintain a healthy brain. Ginseng may have the power to boost your mood and your memory. Ginseng may leave a little bitterness to this tea, so don’t let it steep too long.
Nettle Leaf
Nettle leaf has been used for hundreds of years as a diuretic, which can be helpful in removing toxins from the body. Nettle leaf has a lovely, spinach-like flavor and can be a little tangy.
Milk Thistle Leaf
Native to the Mediterranean, milk thistle leaf has been utilized for a variety of reasons over thousands of years. It has been shown to support liver health, help brain function, and many other potential benefits.
Apples
Commonly known as a healthy snack or ingredient used in cooking and baking, apples are also often dried and used in teas not only for their flavor, but also for their health benefits. Apple tea can help improve digestion, bone health, heart health, and boost immunity.
